Let's try this again

Okay...apparently somebody out there in cyberworld decided they wanted to destroy my blog. So I'm gonna try it again. The weather in Herat has been beautiful. Upper 70's, clear sky, and no rain. I wish it would stay this way, but it's gonna be getting hot. Three of our team members left today to go home. We saw them off at around 0830. It sucks to see your team mates leave...but you gotta be happy for them. They should be home in about eleven days.  Any way...
In the first pic is my boss, CDR Young practicing up on his chipping. We do this off the deck of the JMOC. My buddy Shawn has another name for this game, calling it whack f*#&. In my case, the name is very appropriate...I'm no golfer. The 2nd pic is me and Dr. Amanulla. He is the Chief nurse at the ANA hospital. He is a nurse, but as I mentioned before in my no longer useful blog, nurses in Afghanistan are called Dr.  The third picture is a vehicle called an MRAP. This is what we ride when we have to convoy off base. Like when I went to Camp Arena. To give you an idea of its size...I come up to about where the chains on the door are. The last pic is L to R...CDR Young, Col. Pailino (from camp Arena), me, The two Bulgarian Surgeons, and our Base attorney. This was taken in front of the JMOC on our golf course.
